According to the directives of the respected Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities and the respected Head of the Department of English Language, a workshop entitled “Cyber Extortion: Risks and Remedies” was held this morning for English language students. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Department of Media, and the lecture was jointly delivered by Sukayna Al-Suwaidi and Nomas Al-Khalidi.The workshop addressed the main aspects of the crime of cyber extortion, its risks to members of society, and its negative impacts. It also included an impactful video scene illustrating how mistakes occur and how cyber extortion takes place. A number of students participated with insightful interventions that added significant value to the awareness-raising lecture.
