The Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Building and Construction Engineering Technologies.” The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lect. Tamar Mitham Abdulwahab, Asst. Lect. Mohammed Jawad Kazem, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed Abd, as part of the department’s efforts to keep pace with modern technological developments in the engineering field.
The workshop addressed the concept of artificial intelligence and its most important applications in building and construction engineering technologies, particularly in structural design, project management, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). It also highlighted the role of AI in improving execution quality, reducing errors, and enhancing sustainability in engineering projects.
The workshop emphasized the importance of integrating intelligent technologies into the educational and engineering processes to develop the skills of students and academic staff and to align educational outcomes with labor market requirements. The event witnessed positive interaction from attendees through constructive scientific discussions and contributions.
