with the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, and with the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assist. Prof. Dr. Forat Hamza Al-Sultani, with the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Biology, Prof. Dr. Ali Shaalan Muailif, and the Department Coordinator, Asst. Lect. Jaafar Hamid Jaafar, the Department of Biology organized a humanitarian and social activity represented by hosting orphan children on a field visit to the Al-Mustaqbal University Nature Reserve, stemming from the department’s and the College of Science’s commitment to supporting community initiatives and promoting humanitarian values.
The activity included a field tour inside the reserve, during which its environmental importance and role in preserving biodiversity were highlighted, in addition to creating a positive atmosphere that contributed to bringing joy and happiness to the participating children. School bags along with a number of gifts were also distributed to the orphan children in an atmosphere filled with warmth and interaction.
The activity was supported by the organizational efforts of the activity coordinators and the department’s staff, including Prof. Dr. Maher Ali Jattan, Assist. Prof. Dr. Amir Naji Ubaid, Asst. Lect. Zainab Nazim Aziz, Dr. Nazima Baha’a Hussein, Asst. Lect. Doha Salah Sahib, and Asst. Lect. Banin Ma’an Karim, whose contributions played a significant role in the success of the event.
This activity comes as part of a series of community-oriented events organized by the Department of Biology, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, affirming the university’s humanitarian and institutional role in serving the community and reinforcing the values of generosity and social solidarity, in line with its scientific and educational mission.
