The Department of Medical Biotechnology organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Importance of Blood Urea Testing in Humans”, delivered by (Lecturer M.Sc. Suja Jawad Abid), as part of the department’s scientific activities aimed at enhancing students’ medical and laboratory knowledge. The workshop highlighted the significance of blood urea testing as a key indicator for evaluating kidney function and overall human health. It also focused on the causes of elevated or decreased urea levels, their clinical implications, and provided a detailed explanation of laboratory testing methods, as well as interpreting the results in relation to clinical cases. The workshop witnessed active participation from students through scientific discussions and questions, contributing to a deeper understanding of the practical and theoretical importance of this test in medical diagnostics. This workshop reflects the department’s commitment to developing both the practical and scientific aspects of students’ education, linking theoretical concepts with practical applications, and preparing qualified medical and technical personnel capable of meeting the demands of the professional field.
