Orientation Seminar for First-Year Students in the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering

As part of the efforts of the Psychological and Educational Guidance Committee to support new students and prepare them for integration into university life, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an orientation seminar for first-year students on Saturday, 13/12. The seminar was presented by Department Head Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Mamouri, Department Coordinator Asst. Lecturer Montazer Saleh Mahdi, and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan. The seminar covered topics such as introducing university life, academic and psychological adaptation strategies, the importance of adhering to university rules and regulations, and promoting sustainability concepts among students. The seminar’s sustainability-related objectives included: Instilling the concept of responsible use of natural resources within the campus. Encouraging students to adopt environmentally sustainable practices in their daily lives. Raising awareness of the importance of preserving the environment to ensure the sustainability of resources for future generations. Promoting a culture of sustainable thinking in future engineering projects and practices. The seminar aimed to provide psychological and educational support to students, enhance their ability to adapt to university life, and instill values of sustainability and responsibility toward society and the environment.
