The Women’s Affairs Committee, in cooperation with the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Cosmetology and Laser Technologies, and under the supervision of Asst. Lect. Hayman Waleed Mazloom and Ms. Shahad Naras, organized an awareness workshop on 15/12/2025, within the framework of Prevention and Protection and Activity No. (5), entitled:
“Digital Safety for Female Students”
This workshop was held in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and Goal 5: Gender Equality.
The workshop aimed to enhance digital awareness among female students and empower them to use electronic tools and social media platforms safely and responsibly, both within and beyond the university environment. It focused on introducing key concepts of digital safety, methods for protecting personal privacy, preventing electronic blackmail and cyberbullying, as well as promoting safe practices in using digital platforms and raising awareness of online risks and appropriate ways to address them.
The organization of this workshop contributes to achieving SDG 3 by supporting mental health and reducing the negative impacts of digital risks. It also supports SDG 5 by empowering women and strengthening their ability to protect themselves digitally.
At the conclusion of the event, the University reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such awareness activities that contribute to a safe and sustainable academic environment, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, reinforcing the leading position of Al-Mustaqbal University – the first university in Iraq
