with the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Biology, Prof. Dr. Ali Shaalan Mailef, and the Department Rapporteur, Asst. Lecturer Jaafar Hamid Jaafar, the Department of Biology organized a scientific workshop entitled: Journey Inside the Cell: Exploring the Invisible World Educational Workshop on Genetics and Genes This workshop was held within the annual plan of activities and continuing education programs of the College of Science. The workshop took place at the Medical Technical College – Activities Hall on 16/12/2025, in the presence of a distinguished group of faculty members and students. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Amir Naji Ubaid / College of Science / Department of Biology. The workshop addressed specialized scientific topics in genetics and genes, highlighting cellular structure and the invisible microscopic world, and emphasizing their importance in understanding the genetic foundations of living organisms and their role in explaining biological processes at the cellular level. It also reviewed the most prominent modern concepts in genetics, the importance of genes in the inheritance of traits, and their role in scientific, medical, and research applications, thereby contributing to the enhancement of students’ scientific knowledge. This workshop is part of a series of scientific and awareness-raising activities organized by the Department of Biology, aiming to enhance students’ academic level, link theoretical knowledge with practical applications, and support the educational and research process in a manner that serves the community and the academic institution.
