as part of its scientific activities aimed at enhancing awareness of occupational safety and biosafety procedures within educational laboratories. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the most important safety rules and guidelines that must be followed during laboratory work, and to explain the proper methods for handling chemical materials, biological samples, and microorganisms. It also highlighted mechanisms for preventing laboratory risks and accidents, limiting contamination, and maintaining a safe working environment. The workshop included both theoretical and practical explanations of biosafety concepts, laboratory safety levels, and the importance of adhering to standard procedures and approved instructions, contributing to the development of students’ practical skills and the promotion of a culture of safety and quality in laboratory work. At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturer emphasized the necessity of continuous commitment to safety guidelines due to their essential role in protecting individuals and ensuring the continuity of academic and practical work in accordance with the highest approved standards.
