with the attendance of second-stage students. This workshop was part of a series of scientific activities aimed at enhancing students’ practical knowledge and connecting theoretical concepts with modern applications. The workshop aimed to highlight the role of advanced biotechnological techniques in forensic and criminal medicine, particularly DNA analysis and genetic fingerprinting, and their importance in identifying individuals, diagnosing genetic conditions, and supporting criminal investigations. It also addressed the principles and modern methods of genetic diagnosis and their contribution to justice and modern medicine. The workshop included a detailed scientific presentation of the latest DNA analysis techniques, with explanations of laboratory procedures and practical applications, in addition to discussing the ethical and scientific aspects of using genetic technologies in medical and legal fields. The event witnessed active student participation through discussions and questions that enriched the workshop content. At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturer emphasized the importance of developing students’ skills in biotechnological techniques and encouraging them to keep pace with modern scientific advancements, which play a pivotal role in supporting both the health and judicial sectors and in building competent scientific cadres.
