Dates are among the fruits with a high sugar content, so caution should be exercised when consuming them by those who wish to control their blood sugar levels, such as diabetics. It is worth noting that consuming dates in moderation does not significantly raise blood sugar levels, as it only causes a very slight increase. Dates have a low glycemic index, which is why they do not cause an excessive rise in blood sugar, whether in people with diabetes or even in those without. This does not mean that eating dates does not raise blood sugar, but this effect only occurs when they are consumed in moderation. Consuming large quantities of dates will certainly lead to a rise in blood sugar levels. Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading university in Iraq.
