Benefits of Blood Donation 1/Improved blood circulation. 2/Stimulation of bone marrow cells to regenerate and increase their activity. 3/Lowering blood pressure, thus alleviating headaches and increasing vitality and well-being. According to a study conducted by researchers at Immanuel Kant University in Berlin, involving 60 obese individuals, the participants were divided into two groups. The first group received the same amount of blood drawn for blood donations (450 ml) twice a week for six weeks, while the second group did not receive any blood. Professor Andreas Michaelson stated that the blood pressure of the first group decreased by an average of 18 mmHg, which is half the rate typically achieved with medication, while the blood pressure of the second group decreased by only 1 mmHg.
