In line with achieving the Eleventh Sustainable Development Goal (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and within the framework of promoting social awareness and reinforcing positive family values, the department organized an awareness activity addressing the topic of marriage and building a stable family. The seminar included a scientific and educational lecture delivered by Ms. Fatima Haider Jasim and Ms. Ghufran Sabah Nema, as part of activities aimed at supporting the social and psychological aspects of students.
The lecture covered several key themes, including the concept of marriage as a partnership based on mutual understanding and shared responsibility, the importance of psychological and social readiness before marriage, as well as highlighting the foundations of partner selection and the mechanisms for building a stable family grounded in respect, dialogue, and cooperation.
The lecturers also emphasized the role of awareness and family culture in reducing marital problems, and the impact of family stability on achieving psychological and social balance for individuals, and its reflection on academic and professional success. The activity witnessed positive interaction from the audience through discussions and contributions that enriched the lecture topics.
This activity comes as part of a series of awareness programs organized by the department, aiming to enhance students’ social awareness and promote positive values that contribute to building a cohesive society and a stable family.
