The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Fat Hamza Al-Sultani, Under the supervision of the respected Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Ahmed Adnan Al-Mahna, The Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences organized a scientific workshop entitled: "The importance of recycling and how to separate waste" Presented by Assistant Teacher Samar Hussein, On Wednesday, 17/12/2025 at 9:30 in the morning, In the medical building. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of recycling and its role in protecting the environment and reducing pollution, as well as spreading environmental awareness among students and participants of the importance of dealing with waste correctly. The workshop dealt with the importance of recycling in reducing the volume of waste and preserving natural resources, in addition to explaining how to separate waste from the source, by classifying it into recyclable waste such as paper, plastic, metals, organic waste, and other non-recyclable. The role of educational institutions in promoting sound environmental behavior and encouraging students to adopt sustainable practices on and off campus was also emphasized. At the end of the workshop, the event witnessed interaction from the attendees by asking questions and inquiries, which were answered, which contributed to the consolidation of environmental concepts and promoting awareness of the importance of preserving the environment Al-Mustaqbal University, the first Iraqi private universities
