In line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and as part of enhancing scientific and specialized knowledge among students and academic staff, the Department of Optics Techniques organized a scientific seminar on the field of Medical Physics, presented by Lecturer Ms. Zahraa Abbas Ali. The seminar provided a detailed overview of the various areas of medical physics, including therapeutic and diagnostic applications, as well as highlighting the vital role of the medical physicist in supporting medical teams and ensuring accurate and safe patient outcomes. During the seminar, discussions also focused on the scientific and technical skills required for medical physicists, the importance of adhering to professional and ethical standards, and contributing to scientific research and technological development in this crucial field. This activity helped enhance students’ understanding of the career paths available in medical physics, encouraging them to develop their scientific and technical skills in line with labor market requirements, thereby improving the quality of healthcare services.
