Department of Anesthesia Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies Organizes a Scientific and Humanitarian Visit to the Blood Diseases Center in Babylon

The Department of Anesthesia Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies – Al-Mustaqbal University, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal Three (Good Health and Well-Being), organized a scientific and humanitarian visit to the Blood Diseases Center in Babylon Governorate on Monday, December 15, 2025. The visit was supervised by Dr. Ahmed Khudair, Dr. Talib Jijan, and Mr. Ali Qasim Jawad, with the participation of a number of department students. The visit aimed to enhance both the scientific and humanitarian aspects of students’ education, support health institutions, and serve the community. It included the distribution of gifts and flowers to patients in a humanitarian initiative that contributed to providing psychological support and bringing joy to their hearts, while emphasizing the values of social solidarity and community responsibility. The visit also featured an awareness-raising scientific lecture on hereditary blood diseases, addressing the types of these diseases, their causes, methods of prevention, and ways of dealing with them. The lecture highlighted the importance of early screening and its role in promoting public health and spreading health awareness within the community. In a humanitarian gesture reflecting the spirit of giving and responsibility, one of the students of the Department of Anesthesia Technologies donated blood for the benefit of the center’s patients. This initiative reflected the students’ awareness of the importance of blood donation and its vital role in saving lives, as well as reinforcing humanitarian and volunteer values among young people. The center’s staff praised this initiative, commending the role of the Department of Anesthesia Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies in supporting health institutions and strengthening community partnership. Participating students also expressed their happiness with taking part in the visit due to its direct scientific and humanitarian impact. This visit comes as part of a series of activities carried out by the Department of Anesthesia Technologies aimed at preparing students who possess both scientific and humanitarian awareness and are capable of making an effective contribution to serving the community.
