The Department of Anesthesia Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies – Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an extensive awareness campaign on Monday, December 15, 2025, in celebration of World Water Week. The campaign was supervised by Dr. Talib Jijan and Mr. Ali Qasim Jawad, with the participation of department students and Sustainability Ambassadors. The campaign included the distribution of educational brochures at the Blood Bank in Babylon on “The Role of Healthcare Workers, Particularly Anesthesia Professionals, in Promoting a Culture of Water Conservation,” aiming to highlight the importance of preserving water resources and promoting responsible water use. The campaign sought to showcase the role of anesthesia students and staff in water conservation through their daily practices in healthcare facilities, such as responsible water use during sterilization and cleaning, and adherence to procedures that reduce waste without compromising safety standards. They also contributed to raising awareness among patients and colleagues about the importance of protecting water resources and supporting policies and initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, ensuring the prudent use of water for future generations.
