Community Activity by the Department of Anesthesia Technologies to Raise Awareness for Children at Happy Kids Kindergarten

On Tuesday, 16/12/2025, the Department of Anesthesia Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies conducted a community activity titled “Community Service – Awareness and Guidance” at Happy Kids Kindergarten, with the participation of the department faculty members Prof. Dr. Saad Abdulrahim Al-Jubouri, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Handhal Tarish, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abu Al-Saud Abdulzaher, Dr. Zaidoun Abdulwahab, and Dr. Ahmed Shaaban Al-Khafaji, Dr. Hind khalid abed. The activity aimed to increase awareness and attention to the health and safety of children in the kindergarten, recognizing it as a vital environment for children’s physical and psychological development. This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), by promoting children’s physical and mental health from an early age. The program emphasized the importance of children acquiring healthy habits, positive psychological and social skills, and preventing behavioral and health risks. The faculty highlighted the necessity of collaboration among multiple stakeholders to ensure the child’s well-being, including parents, teachers, school administration, physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers, with proper coordination, communication, and role definition. The activity also focused on comprehensive assessment of children at the beginning of each educational stage, covering health, psychological, social, and academic aspects, in order to identify and reinforce positive traits, address negative aspects, provide necessary preventive and therapeutic measures, instill values and habits, and develop essential skills. This activity is part of the ongoing efforts of the Department of Anesthesia Technologies to serve the community and enhance health and educational awareness among children, parents, and teachers.
