With technological advancement, technology has become a key tool in supporting this integration and improving the quality of healthcare, particularly with the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in the development of complementary medicine practices. How Does Technology Contribute to Integrating Conventional Medicine with Modern Therapies? Technology plays a pivotal role in achieving integration among different therapeutic approaches through: Electronic health records, which enable physicians to track patients’ treatment histories, including both conventional and complementary therapies, within a unified system. Telemedicine, which allows patients to receive conventional and complementary medical consultations without geographical limitations. Smart devices and digital health applications, which help monitor vital signs and assess the effectiveness of complementary therapies such as physical therapy, meditation, and nutritional therapy. Health data analytics, which contribute to evaluating the outcomes of combining different treatments and improving therapeutic plans. The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Complementary Medicine Approaches Artificial intelligence has brought a transformative shift to the field of integrative medicine by: Analyzing patterns of patients’ responses to various complementary therapies and identifying the most effective options for each case. Supporting the design of personalized treatment programs that combine medication, nutrition, behavioral therapy, and natural therapies. Developing intelligent systems to assess pain levels, stress, and quality of life using machine learning techniques. Contributing to scientific research by analyzing clinical studies related to complementary medicine and strengthening evidence-based practices. Challenges and Ethical Considerations Despite its significant benefits, technology-supported integrative medicine faces several challenges, most notably ensuring data accuracy, protecting patient privacy, and scientifically validating the effectiveness of certain complementary therapies. Moreover, the human role of the physician remains essential in guiding treatment and making appropriate medical decisions. Technology-supported integrative medicine represents a promising model for the future of healthcare, as it contributes to delivering comprehensive and personalized treatment that better meets patients’ needs. With continuous advancements in artificial intelligence and health technologies, the effectiveness of complementary medicine can be enhanced, achieving true integration between conventional medicine and modern therapies for the benefit of human health and quality of life.
