The College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University held a specialized scientific seminar entitled “Women and Education: The Key to Sustainable Development” at the Department of English, in cooperation with the University’s Women’s Affairs Unit. The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Saja Zuhair Hamed.
The seminar aimed to highlight the pivotal role of women in the educational process and its direct impact on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It also sought to enhance awareness of the importance of empowering women academically and intellectually as a fundamental pillar for building a balanced society capable of keeping pace with scientific and cultural development.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rodhan Salman, the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, Dr. Mary, and the Head of the Department of English, Lecturer Dr. Salam Hassan Makki, in addition to a number of faculty members. This attendance reflected the College’s commitment to supporting scientific activities that address issues related to women and education.
At the conclusion of the seminar, attendees emphasized the importance of continuing such purposeful scientific events due to their effective role in promoting social awareness and strengthening the partnership between education and development, in line with the University’s vision and mission of serving the community.
