Assistant Lecturer Zainab Hakim Mousa published an article entitled “Iraqi Identity in Sinan Antoon’s Poetry: The Baghdad Blues as a Diaspora Study.” The article examines representations of Iraqi identity through Antoon’s poetry from a diasporic perspective. It highlights the impact of war, exile, and political violence on identity formation. The study also explores the role of memory, language, and poetry in preserving cultural belonging. It concludes that Iraqi identity in exile is fluid, multifaceted, and continuously reconstructed through lived experience.
