As part of the activities of the second day of the Language Festival organized by the College of Education – English Language Department, and in collaboration with Al-Waeli School, a training workshop was held under the title: “When Words Aren’t Enough: Using People, Places, and Things as a Theatre Tool for Teen Emotional Expression” The workshop was presented by Ms. Zaineb Raad Mohsin. The workshop highlighted the importance of utilizing theatrical tools, such as people, places, and objects, as an effective means to help teenagers express their emotions and feelings when words are insufficient. It also emphasized the role of performing arts in developing emotional intelligence, boosting self-confidence, and enhancing communication skills. The workshop included theoretical and practical modules that contributed to developing students’ creative expression skills and encouraged the use of theatre as an educational tool to support mental health and personality development, with positive engagement from the participants. This workshop is part of a series of scientific and cultural activities organized by the English Language Department, aiming to enhance linguistic and artistic skills, support creativity, and expand collaboration with educational institutions.
