The Department of Computer Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies – University of Al-Mustaqbal organized an orientation workshop for first-year students, coinciding with their first day of attendance for the academic year. The workshop, delivered by Eng. Ali Adnan AbdulKadhim, included a comprehensive explanation of the Bologna System mechanism, in addition to an introduction to the Student Information System (SIS). It also covered the procedure for course selection, the method of calculating academic credits, as well as a detailed clarification of the grading distribution and the adopted assessment system. During the workshop, new students were warmly welcomed and introduced to the academic environment. An open discussion session was held to answer students’ questions, contributing to a smoother integration into university life and better academic preparation from the beginning of their educational journey. This workshop is part of a series of activities organized by the department with the aim of familiarizing students with the approved academic systems and providing a supportive learning environment that contributes to achieving academic success and excellence.
