A awareness workshop entitled “Drugs and Their Impact on Academic and Professional Performance” was held as part of the awareness activities organized by the Department of Accounting, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ali Marza Al-Eisawi. The workshop aimed to highlight the dangers of drug use and its negative effects on an individual’s academic and professional performance, as it leads to decreased concentration and academic achievement, impaired decision-making, and reduced productivity and efficiency in the workplace, in addition to serious psychological, social, and health consequences. The workshop also addressed the role of awareness and prevention in protecting students from this phenomenon, emphasizing the importance of reinforcing ethical values and personal responsibility, and promoting a culture of healthy living, which contributes to building a conscious generation capable of serving society and achieving academic and professional success. This workshop comes within the framework of the College of Administrative Sciences / University of the Future’s commitment to enhancing students’ social awareness and contributing to reducing negative phenomena that affect their educational and professional paths.
