On the occasion of Iraqi Army Day, and under the slogan “When Art Draws the Courage of the Nation,” the College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University is organizing an art festival from December 5 to December 7, as part of its support for national events and its commitment to enhancing aesthetic values and strengthening national spirit among students and the university community. The festival will feature a wide variety of artistic activities, including fine art exhibitions, artistic designs, and expressive works that embody the sacrifices and heroism of the Iraqi Army, in addition to artistic performances that highlight the pivotal role of the military institution in protecting the homeland and safeguarding its sovereignty against enemies. This event comes as an affirmation of the role of the College of Fine Arts in employing art as a humanistic and national language capable of expressing major national occasions and linking artistic creativity with national memory, thereby enhancing cultural awareness and reinforcing values of belonging and pride in Iraqi identity. The festival also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, through promoting a culture of peace, strengthening respect for national institutions, and raising awareness of the importance of stability and security in building a cohesive and sustainable society. This festival represents an important milestone in the artistic activities regularly organized by the college, contributing to the celebration of national occasions and activating cultural movement within and beyond the university.
