Under the direct supervision of Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mazen Hadi, the College of Fine Arts participated today in the University Winter Festival with a distinctive artistic activity that showcased creativity and aesthetic presence across the campus.
The college’s participation was highlighted through a coloring activity in the university gardens, where students, alongside their professors, transformed green spaces into vibrant visual artworks. Using colors as a form of artistic expression, the activity reflected values of beauty, joy, and a sense of belonging to the campus. This initiative demonstrated the interaction between art and the university environment, emphasizing the role of art in enlivening public spaces and enhancing the aesthetic appreciation of the university community.
Professor Dr. Mazen Hadi affirmed that this participation aligns with the college’s vision of integrating art into daily life and showcasing students’ creative talents beyond classrooms. He also highlighted that open activities help reinforce the concept of art as a cultural and humanistic message capable of impact and communication.
This initiative also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), by promoting the role of art in improving the quality of life in public spaces, encouraging community engagement, and creating sustainable and inspiring urban and campus environments.
