The question “Can machines think like humans?” has been central to artificial intelligence research since Alan Turing first asked it in 1950 with his famous test of machine intelligence, now known as the Turing Test. AI systems today can process vast amounts of data, recognize patterns, and solve specific problems efficiently, sometimes even better than humans. However, current AI lacks true understanding, consciousness, and emotional awareness, which are key traits of human thought. While AI can mimic certain aspects of human thinking and decision-making, it does not yet possess the adaptability, creativity, and self-awareness that characterize human intelligence. Therefore, machines can simulate thinking but not truly think like humans
