The Faculty of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University organizes an awareness campaign on the dangers of smoking and its impact on physical and mental health.

The Women's Affairs Unit at the Faculty of Education, under the supervision of its head, Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa El-Din, organized an educational awareness campaign entitled "Smoking: Its Health Risks, How to Avoid It, and Its Impact on the Physical and Mental Health of Individuals and Society." The campaign took place on Sunday morning, December 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Humanities Building Hall, 5th floor. The campaign saw active participation from the heads of the Women's Affairs Committees in all departments of the faculty, along with the attendance of several department heads, faculty members, and students, all within the framework of promoting health awareness and reinforcing positive behaviors within the university community. The campaign included scientific guidance and educational explanations on the health and psychological risks of smoking, highlighting its negative effects on individuals and society in the short and long term. It also reviewed methods of prevention and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles that contribute to achieving comprehensive health sustainability. This activity falls under the National Strategic Plan for Iraqi Women / Axis Three – Paragraph (1), and aims to raise community awareness about the dangers of smoking, support efforts to maintain physical and mental health, and contribute to building a healthy and aware society capable of achieving sustainable development. (Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq)
