A student awareness activity was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Firas Al-Dabbagh, with the participation of second-year students from the Anesthesia Techniques Department at the College of Medical and Health Techniques. The activity took place across various areas of Al-Hillah City, its markets, commercial shops, as well as within the campus of Al-Mustaqbal University. The activity aims to raise community awareness about the risks of neonatal jaundice, which affects a significant number of newborns, by educating the public on its causes, preventive measures, and proper management of affected cases, especially given the increase in such cases in contemporary births. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and seeks to enhance students’ role in serving the community, promoting health literacy, and reinforcing social responsibility among students of the Anesthesia Techniques Department at the College of Medical and Health Techniques.
