Al-Mustaqbal University Moves Globally: Intensive Preparations for Hosting the EURAS Academy International Forum Next October
Following the directives of the University President, Professor Hassan Shaker Magdy, to enhance international presence and expand academic cooperation, Future University participated in the second virtual meeting with the Secretariat of the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Universities Association (EURAS), which was held via Zoom.
This participation came within the framework of the ongoing preparations to host the "EURAS Academy" Forum at the university next October.
The university was represented at this meeting by Professor Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, and Dr. Samir Badrawi, Director of Cultural Relations at the University Presidency. The attendees discussed the outcomes of the previous meeting and emphasized continued coordination regarding the organizational and academic aspects of the upcoming forum.
The Eurasian Universities Association (EURAS) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, with more than 150 universities and academic institutions as members. The Union works to promote academic integration across different geopolitical cultures and the exchange of best educational practices. Future University is an active member of its Board of Directors.
The EURAS Academy Forum will be a prominent academic event, bringing together, over two days, elite representatives from European and Asian universities, along with a large number of Iraqi universities. It will also feature government officials, decision-makers, and representatives from institutions concerned with higher education and scientific research.
The forum is scheduled to address strategic themes that are currently a top priority in the higher education sector, most notably: academic accreditation, quality assurance, global rankings, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This initiative reflects Future University's commitment to its pioneering role in international academic openness, supporting excellence in education and research, and strengthening Iraq's position on the global higher education map.
