The world today is witnessing a digital revolution led by artificial intelligence (AI), which is reshaping the nature of traditional media work. With the rise of algorithms capable of generating content, analyzing data, and interacting with audiences, it has become essential for media colleges to reconsider their curricula and teaching approaches.
Classical media skills are no longer sufficient on their own; today’s media professionals must understand AI tools, work with smart software, and keep pace with rapid technological developments. Therefore, media studies programs must integrate AI—whether through specialized courses or practical training in AI tools used for news production and digital content creation.
Artificial intelligence does not eliminate the human role in media; rather, it redefines it. Thus, the future of media studies lies in their ability to balance human values in communication with the responsible and effective use of modern technologies.
