In alignment with Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals – Quality Education, and in implementation of the directives of the esteemed President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majid, and as part of the university's continuous efforts to enhance the infrastructure of its scientific and technical departments, the Department of Optical Techniques has successfully completed a comprehensive project to calibrate and maintain all optical devices and equipment within the department.
This project was carried out under the direct supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qayyim, in cooperation with the technical team from Al-Shiraa Al-Azraq Company, specialized in training and development.
The calibration processes were conducted in accordance with approved standard specifications to ensure the efficiency and precision of the devices used in teaching and training students. The official calibration certificate was presented to Asst. Prof. Dr. Mundher Sameen Shakir, Head of the Department of Optical Techniques, during a formal ceremony held for this occasion.
The event witnessed the distinguished presence of the College Dean, Dr. Ali Shaker Majid (Administrative Assistant), Prof. Dr. Dakhel Nasser Taha (Director of University Laboratories), Prof. Dr. Raad Shaker (Head of the Radiological Techniques Department), in addition to a large number of specialists and professionals in the field of optics.
This achievement represents the first of its kind at the university level in the field of optical device calibration, reflecting the university’s strong commitment to applying quality assurance and academic accreditation standards in its educational laboratories.
