Under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University, with the guidance of the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, and under the supervision of the esteemed Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, the first practical training course in modern industrial control was launched. This course focuses on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) - Level 1. It commenced on Sunday, January 12, 2025, through collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University – Energy Research Center and the University of Babylon – College of Engineering.

The course includes an introduction to industrial automation and detailed explanations of the hardware components of Delta PLC units, in addition to methods of connecting with sensors. Participants will install the ISPsoft software, explore Data Types and Memory Maps, and program Timers, Counters, and Analog Input Modules. Furthermore, they will learn about HMI screens, how to integrate them with programming, and design a practical project simulating real-world applications.

The course targets electrical engineers and engineering students from various disciplines, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Fuel and Energy Engineering.
