As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s continuous efforts to keep pace with global developments in the field of sustainable energy, the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies has begun its preparations for active participation in the Future Sustainability Week, a scientific and awareness-raising platform aimed at highlighting the importance of sustainability in various engineering sectors.
The preparations include a comprehensive program featuring workshops, scientific seminars, and technology exhibitions that aim to showcase the role of the electrical engineer in supporting sustainable development goals. The program focuses on clean energy solutions, efficient resource utilization, and the transition toward smart grids and modern control systems.
Dr. Hassan Mowafaq Ghani, Head of the Department, stated that this year’s participation will focus on the future of sustainable energy and the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing the efficiency of electrical systems. The program will also present student projects that employ modern technologies in renewable energy fields, such as solar cell systems, energy recycling, and smart lighting systems.
He also pointed to fruitful collaborations with academic and industrial entities to organize a variety of events that will enrich the experience of students and visitors, and contribute to linking engineering education with future sustainability trends.
The events are scheduled to take place on the university campus next week, with the participation of specialized professors, students, and individuals interested in environmental and technological affairs.
