Under the patronage of the President of al Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Magdi, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Latif Hussein, the Department of biology organized a special honoring ceremony to honor a select group of its outstanding students in recognition of their outstanding efforts and active participation in the activities and events of the "al Mustaqbal Sustainability Week." The ceremony was held in a festive atmosphere that embodied appreciation and support for student excellence.
The ceremony included the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participating students, in recognition of their outstanding efforts and initiatives in science exhibitions, interactive workshops, and awareness-raising activities that reflected their strong environmental awareness and interest in issues of sustainability and biodiversity.
The ceremony began with a speech delivered by the Head of the biology Department, Asst. M. Jaafar Hamid Jaafar. In his remarks, he praised the outstanding level demonstrated by the students through their active participation. He emphasized that these contributions reflect intellectual maturity and advanced environmental awareness, and contribute to consolidating the department's position as an effective driver for achieving sustainable development goals by nurturing promising student talent.
He also pointed out the importance of instilling a culture of scientific and community participation in the minds of students, as this represents the cornerstone of building an educated, aware, and responsible generation regarding environmental and societal issues.
al Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
