AL Mustaqbal University, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul Jabbar, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division, and with the follow-up of Chief Programmer Amal Abbas Ubaid, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, organized an awareness campaign titled “Technology: Empowerment, Creativity, and Innovation.”
The campaign was held by the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering on Sunday, April 6, 2025, as part of the implementation of the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, specifically under Pillar 8: Participation and Institutional Reform.
The campaign was delivered by **Asst. Lecturer Ghadir Haidar Abbas**, along with engineers **Aya Talib Hassan** and Hadeer Hussam Hashem, and addressed the issue of women and technology, highlighting it as a societal phenomenon that influences both individuals and communities at large.
The campaign emphasized the role of society, with all its institutions and individuals, in supporting this phenomenon and proposed practical approaches to foster a safe and just environment for women.
Among the campaign’s key outcomes was the call for **collective societal effort** to encourage women's involvement in modern technology sectors and support their participation. It also underscored the importance of **continuing awareness campaigns and developing effective policies to protect women and ensure a safe, fair environment for them.
