The Department of Medical Biotechnology organized a scientific hackathon titled “Designing Peptide Chains”, with the participation of a group of second- and third-year students.
The competition witnessed a fruitful scientific rivalry between the participating teams, showcasing innovative ideas and practical applications.
At the end of the first stage, the second-year team won and qualified for the final round to compete with the third-year team for the first place title.
The event was attended by the Head of the Department, the Department Rapporteur, and a number of faculty members, in addition to the Head of the Scientific Affairs Unit and the Head of the Central Activities Unit, who all praised the organization of the hackathon and the spirit of creativity and competition among the students.
In the final stage, the third-year team was crowned the winner, achieving first place after delivering an outstanding performance that impressed the judging committee and the attendees.
This activity comes as part of the department’s continuous efforts to enhance students’ skills, promote teamwork, and encourage innovation in the field of medical biotechnology.
