As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to social responsibility and the achievement of sustainable development goals, the Sustainability Ambassadors in the Biochemistry Department organized a humanitarian initiative to support underprivileged families on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with Al-Intisar Foundation for Development and Relief, where a new batch of Eid clothing was distributed to deserving families, bringing joy and happiness to their hearts and helping them welcome Eid with hope and optimism.

Objective of the Initiative

This initiative aims to strengthen the principle of social solidarity, which is one of the fundamental pillars of sustainable development. Through such activities, Al-Mustaqbal University seeks to support disadvantaged groups, reduce social disparities, and foster a culture of giving within the community. Additionally, it helps raise awareness among students and faculty members about the vital humanitarian role each individual can play in improving the lives of others.

This initiative aligns with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
• Goal 1: No Poverty – by providing direct support to needy families and alleviating their financial burdens.
• Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities – by empowering less fortunate groups to enjoy the celebrations of Eid with dignity and happiness while promoting social justice.

Efforts Behind the Initiative

This humanitarian campaign was successfully executed through the sincere efforts of the faculty members in the Biochemistry Department, who dedicated their time and effort to organizing and distributing the aid. The following individuals played a key role in its implementation:
• Head of the Biochemistry Department: Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdul Hassan Nasser
• Department Rapporteur: Assist. Prof. Dr. Aseel Amer Hadi
• Faculty Member: Assist. Prof. Dr. Karar Majid Obeid

Al-Mustaqbal University affirms that such initiatives are not merely charitable activities but an integral part of its vision to build a more cohesive and humane society.
