As part of Almustaqbal University’s commitment to sustainable development, particularly Goal 5: Gender Equality, the Department of Design at the College of Fine Arts organized a distinguished awareness campaign titled "Women in Academia: Paving the Way for a Brighter Future and Leadership." The initiative aimed to shed light on the vital role of women in academia, encouraging them to pursue diverse scientific, artistic, and humanitarian disciplines while fostering their contributions to innovation, scientific research, and entrepreneurship.
The campaign featured the distribution of informative brochures to students, highlighting the significance of women's roles in academia, the challenges they face, and the importance of their participation in engineering, applied sciences, arts, and humanities. Additionally, interactive discussions were held to emphasize the necessity of gender equality in educational institutions and the role of education in empowering women to advance academically and professionally.
This impactful event was supervised by programmer Fatima Hussein Jawad, with contributions from assistant Narjes Redha Fakhri, programmer Sarah Faiq Ali, lecturer M.M Noor Ali Raji, and Dr. Hamza Alawi Masrabet, a member of the Activities and Seminars Committee. Students actively engaged with the campaign's content, reflecting their growing awareness of women’s role in achieving sustainable development and academic progress.
