As part of the scientific and cultural activities of the College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University, and with the active participation of the Departments of Art Education and Interior Design, a distinguished academic symposium was held under the title:
“Baghdad: The Capital of History through Culture, Beauty, and Artistic Imagery”.
The symposium was conducted under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of the University, and took place in the Conference Hall of the Engineering Building, with a notable presence of faculty members and attendees from the artistic and cultural spheres.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Atiya Mousa Al-Saadi, Scientific Assistant of the College of Fine Arts, led the session in collaboration with Dr. Fawzia, Head of the Department of Archaeology. The symposium highlighted the rich cultural and artistic legacy of Baghdad and its enduring aesthetic identity across different historical eras.
This event reflects the shared vision of both the Art Education and Interior Design departments in promoting visual and cultural awareness, while strengthening the integration of art with the humanities.
It reaffirms Baghdad’s place as an eternal symbol of beauty and culture in the collective memory of humanity.
