In cooperation with the Ministry of Health / Babylon Health Department, Al-Mustaqbal University, College of Medical and Health Technologies, Department of Medical Lab Techniques, has been participating in the Pregnant Women Care Campaign for the Third Week in a row. This Campaign that has been launched during Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week has aimed to achieve SDG 3 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on Good Health & Well-Being.
It should be noted however that this Campaign on its Third Week has included provision of Health Care Services to Pregnant Women at 1st Sector of Hilla Center/Abu Khammas Village / Tufail District, in addition to distributing Food Baskets to maintain Women's Health during Pregnancy. As a matter of fact, the Campaign has comprised Comprehensive Medical Examinations, Nutritional Counseling, and Awareness of Regular Health Care.
Furthermore, Awareness Booklets have been distributed to Pregnant Women, which include vital information about Proper Nutrition and Appropriate Physical Activities during Pregnancy, in addition to advice on how to deal with Common Symptoms that a Pregnant Woman may be facing. In general, these efforts do aim to enhance Health Awareness and ensure provision of necessary care for Mothers and their Fetuses, and thus contributing effectively in the reduction of Death Rates and Pregnancy-Related Diseases.
