In Pursuit of Enhancing Educational Quality and Achieving Sustainable Development Goals
As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Professor Dr. Dakhel Nasser Tah, Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques, accompanied by the department’s rapporteur Dr. Thulfiqar Ahmed Hamza, followed up on the progress of theoretical lectures in the department. This visit was conducted within the framework of the regular monitoring plan for the launch of the new academic year at the College of Health and Medical Technologies.
The visit aimed to review the regularity of the educational process and evaluate the performance of the teaching staff, as well as to observe students’ engagement within the classrooms.
The Head of the Department commended the efforts of the faculty members for their commitment to the academic curricula and their use of modern teaching methods that keep pace with advancements in the field of medical laboratory analysis.
Meanwhile, the Department Rapporteur emphasized the importance of encouraging students to participate actively and to develop critical and scientific thinking skills.
During the tour, emphasis was placed on achieving the principles of sustainability through the following goals:
• Goal 4: Quality Education — by ensuring an academic environment that promotes high-quality scientific content and effective teaching performance.
• Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure — through supporting applied research and developing laboratories in line with technological progress.
• Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions — by reinforcing academic values, discipline, and transparency within educational institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, both the Head and the Rapporteur of the Department expressed their appreciation to the academic staff and students for their dedication and positive engagement, affirming that achieving sustainability in education is the cornerstone for building a distinguished scientific generation capable of advancing the health and community sectors.
