Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, spoke about the university’s recent achievements, stating:
I am pleased to share with you a significant milestone added to the record of Al-Mustaqbal University’s accomplishments. Our university has achieved first place globally in the seventh Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-7), which focuses on Affordable Energy for All. This is the highest rank ever attained by an Arab university at both the national and regional levels, including Iraq and the broader Arab world.
Furthermore, we are proud to have secured first place in Iraq under SDG-17, and a global ranking between 200–300 in theImpact Rankings issued by Times Higher Education (THE). This is an internationally recognized benchmark that measures universities’ impact on the Sustainable Development Goals.
This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence in scientific research, education, and active societal contribution, rooted in our vision to promote sustainable development and strengthen our position as a globally leading institution.”
