On the morning of Saturday, July 19, 2025, the College Council held a meeting chaired by the Dean of the College and attended by the heads of academic departments. The meeting aimed to follow up on the implementation of preparatory requirements for the 2025–2026 academic year and to discuss a number of priority issues, foremost among them the organization of second-round examinations and ensuring that academic and administrative plans align with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and the University Presidency.
During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of all faculty members adhering to the recent university order concerning the implementation of the academic and educational plan for the coming year. This includes the following key areas:
• Scientific Publication Plan: All faculty members are required to submit proposals for original research topics aligned with their specializations and contributing to enhancing the quality of scientific research at the college and university levels.
• Academic Activities and Scientific Workshops: Departments are encouraged to prepare training programs and events (workshops, seminars, discussion panels) directly related to their fields of knowledge, in a way that helps develop students’ and faculty members’ research and practical skills.
• Sustainability and Case Studies: Proposals should be submitted for practical case studies focusing on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). This initiative aims to integrate education, research, and community service.
The College Council reaffirmed the importance of completing these requirements within the specified timelines to ensure the achievement of institutional performance indicators and academic accreditation standards.
