As part of its commitment to supporting outstanding scientific activities, the Department of Medicinal Plants and Natural Products at the College of Agricultural Technologies – Al-Mustaqbal University proudly announces the university’s participation in the Student Hackathon for Generative Artificial Intelligence, held alongside the 6th International Conference on Digital Age and Transformation Technology for Sustainable Development (Data 2025). The event took place in Tangier, Kingdom of Morocco, from May 7 to 9, 2025.
This participation aimed to enhance students' competencies in modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and to empower them to create innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The event witnessed distinguished contributions from students of Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, along with international academic presence.
Prof. Dr. Hassan Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, represented the university at this major scientific event, where he honored the winning teams in the hackathon. He also delivered a lecture entitled:
"Integration of Green Education and AI Technologies in Al-Mustaqbal University – Framework as a Case Study."
The lecture received positive feedback from attendees, reflecting the university’s direction toward integrating sustainability and advanced technology across various disciplines, including agricultural and medical sciences.
This event marks the first official participation of an Iraqi university in scientific activities on Moroccan soil—a significant milestone in the global engagement of the Department of Medicinal Plants and Natural Products, and the College of Agricultural Technologies more broadly, in the fields of artificial intelligence and sustainable technology.
The department extends its warmest congratulations to the participating students and reaffirms its ongoing support for innovation and technical creativity in service of sustainable agricultural and medical development.
