A group of second-year students, under the supervision of Dr. Rami Qais and Mr. Ali Ibrahim, designed two circuits to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). The first circuit is a bridge rectifier, and the second circuit is a voltage multiplier. The bridge rectifier circuit was designed using four diodes arranged in a bridge configuration to convert AC to DC with improved stability using capacitors. As for the voltage multiplier circuit, it was designed to increase the DC voltage by using a combination of capacitors and diodes, which allows achieving a higher voltage than the input voltage
