In its continuous efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Al-Mustaqbal University – College of Health and Medical Technologies – Department of Industrial Kidney Technology organized a scientific seminar on January 19, 2025, led by the department’s rapporteur, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali Mohsen Al-Khafaji.
The seminar was both educational and awareness-driven, focusing on introducing students to the concept of sustainable development. It provided a comprehensive overview of the reasons behind the formulation of the SDGs, their global importance, and the effective strategies for achieving them, as well as identifying the key beneficiaries.
Special attention was given to empowering students by highlighting their role in sustainability. The seminar explored how students can be prepared as “Sustainability Ambassadors” who reflect awareness and play a proactive role in contributing to the well-being of their communities.
The session was distinguished by its interactive approach, aiming to enhance students’ understanding and inspire them to actively participate in building a sustainable future that meets the aspirations of future generations.
