As part of efforts to enhance environmental and social awareness among students, the Sustainability Ambassadors at the Department of Biochemistry, in collaboration with Psychological and Educational Guidance Officials, organized an awareness campaign focused on the phenomenon of graffiti and its negative impact on the university environment and the community in general.

During the campaign, awareness brochures were distributed to students, providing information on the damages caused by graffiti, whether in terms of aesthetic, environmental, or psychological effects. The brochures aimed to highlight the importance of preserving university facilities and public property, emphasizing that such behaviors not only affect the appearance of the university but also the reputation of the entire student community.

The campaign also encouraged students to adopt positive behaviors, with the brochures offering practical advice on how to deal with negative emotions constructively, away from graffiti, and stressing the importance of each student being part of the effort to maintain a clean and respectful university environment.

This campaign aligns with the university’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, supporting the following objectives:
• Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities: By preserving the university environment and leaving a positive impact on it.
• Goal 4: Quality Education: By raising environmental and cultural awareness among students and promoting values of responsibility.
• Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production: By spreading awareness about the importance of responsible use of public facilities.
• Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: By fostering a culture of respect and responsibility in dealing with public spaces.
