The Sustainability Ambassadors in the Forensic Evidence Department organized a large-scale tree-planting campaign in celebration of Iraqi Tree Day. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Sciences, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sami Abdul-Hussein Habbana, Head of the Forensic Evidence Department, with the supervision of Dr. Aseel Al-Hassani, Head of Activities at the College of Sciences.
The campaign witnessed the active participation of faculty members and students from the Forensic Evidence Department, who planted numerous trees and plants across the university campus. This initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and reinforce a culture of sustainability.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 15 (Life on Land), this campaign contributes to improving air quality, expanding green spaces, and fostering environmental responsibility among students, reflecting the university’s commitment to a sustainable and eco-friendly academic environment.
