On Thursday, April 17, 2025, an awareness workshop titled "Combating Drugs" was held, presented by Dr. Doaa Jaafar, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Physics. The workshop was attended by the department’s staff and a number of undergraduate students. It aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse to individuals and society, while highlighting the health, social, and legal consequences associated with this issue.

Psychological and social factors leading to drug abuse.
The role of family and educational institutions in preventing addiction.
Negative impacts of drugs on public health.
Methods of treatment and rehabilitation for drug users.
