As part of the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ practical understanding of modern analytical techniques, a scientific activity was conducted focusing on Gas Chromatography (GC) — an essential method for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition. This technique plays a vital role in fields such as pharmaceuticals, environmental testing, and food and beverage analysis.

The activity was supervised by Asst. Lecturer Hajar Haddad, Engineer Fatima Uday, and Engineer Ghusaq Abbas, who guided the students through the fundamental principles and applications of GC technology.

The activity was carried out by first-year students Hassan Mohammed Ali Odeh and Sajad Mohammed Abdul-Hamza, who demonstrated excellent teamwork and a keen understanding of the topic.

This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience to better prepare students for their academic and professional careers.
